[ValleyNature] 45 Wolfville chimney swifts May 25/10 + summary to date

MAY 25, 2010 - Robie Tufts Nature Centre in Wolfville at dusk: 45+  
chimney swifts counted as they dove into the chimney -- I watched  
from 8:32 to 9:15 p.m. (Sunset 8:45), and I thought I might be rained  
out, since half of the sky was overcast, there was a very slight  
drizzle, and it "felt" like rain was coming -- but as I sat there and  
the swifts made me wait and wait, I watched the sky clear gradually  
and become of gorgeous big Sunset -- temp. 19 C., wind light and from  
nw -- the swifts appeared suddenly at 9:08 and nearly all dropped  
quickly into the chimney in a minute or less, with only one straggler  
seen shortly thereafter -- observer Jim Wolford.
