Thursday, Friday and part of Saturday spent on Brier I. - weather lovely, if a bit windy.
Seen: merlins, harrier (at West Light), red-shouldered hawk (on road from West Light).
eastern kingbirds 7 + at West Light and again the next day on way to Peajack Cove (same ones?)
tri-coloured heron at Big Pond
turkey vultures, song sparrows, many eiders, pair of Canada Geese, bluejays
yellow warblers, blackburnians (males), common yellowthroat
No seals at Seal Cove but one dead one on rocky beach at Pond Cove. Looked at first as if it was just basking - no sign of deterioation yet.
Nice to be there when there is no fog.
