[ValleyNature] 24 Wolfville chimney swifts May 21/09

MAY 21, 2009 - Wolfville's Robie Tufts Nature Centre chimney at dusk:  
only 24+ CHIMNEY SWIFTS entered chimney from 8:55 to 9:15 p.m. --  
observations from 8:41 to 9:15 p.m. (Sunset 8:42 p.m.) -- clear sky  
(all day), warm, 25 C. (then cool later), moderate wind from west  
(windy) -- observers Jim Wolford and quite a few gawkers, just as  
many as there were swifts.  One woman told me that most of the  
Wolfville swifts had moved to Middleton -- when quizzed, she said she  
"heard that from someone" and then asked who I was (fair enough, but  
she thought she had told me something factual).
