[ValleyNature] Jawbone Corner Eagles

On my walk down Canard St today I couldn't quite be sure if the eagle
was sitting on the nest - they have wisely made the north side of the
nest very high. However, chickens had been dumped and there were about
15 eagles of varying ages around in the trees. One immature is missing
many tail feathers. Another has almost full white head & tail, but
still quite a bit of mottling. It was fun to get a good look at all the
variations. There were also hawks (red tails for sure, & I think some
smaller ones) & ravens.
On my return trip I really regretted not having the camera - a
red-tailed hawk was enjoying quite a large chicken right next to the
road & was not prepared to risk losing it by flying just because a human
was walking on the other side.
No sign of my stranger at the feeder for several days, but the pheasant
came by for supper, & there were a few redpolls today. Yesterday one
red-winged blackbird was on the feeder.
