[ValleyNature] great egret at Aylesford April 24/09

Mark Elderkin and George Boyd alerted me about this GREAT EGRET,  
which appeared just this morning (Friday) and stayed into afternoon  
at a small pond very near George's home at 1895 Brooklyn St.  How to  
get there:

Take Exit 16 (Aylesford) off Highway 101 and drive north 500 metres,  
to Brooklyn St.  Turn left (west) and drive 3 km. to Morden Road stop  
sign.  Then continue west to the 2nd house on the right, which is  
George's, then continue 200 m. past his driveway to the west to a  
pond on the left.  Bingo.  Mark told me this bird was gorgeous, with  
its nuptial plumes prominent.
