Newsletter History and Contents

The BNS Newsletter is published once every season of the year at approximately the equinoxes and solstices. It began publication in the Autumn of 1974 and by 2008 is in its 35nd year. All members receive a copy of the Newsletter and some are also distributed to other select institutions.
At present the Newsletter format is a booklet 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches with about 48 pages. In addition to text there are many line and half-tone drawings.

If you want to find the article then there is a complete set of BNS Newsletters housed in the Wolfville branch of the Annapolis Valley Regional Library (Front Street Wolfville, NS).  The Acadia University Library has a set of Newsletter in its archive section.

Scanned Copies of Archived BNS Newsletters

Example of a early Newsletter - Vol21 No4 We are in the process of scanning past Newsletters into digital form so they are available online. The first newsletters were printed, using a Gestetner process and were in the legal size paper format. The earlier Newsletters will be scanned into graphic images and are not searchable but later newsletters may be available in text and graphics (Use the index above to search for topics, author, or title).
- Here are the first of the BNS Newsletters and as more are available, they will be posted here.   The volume number for the 2012 Newsletter is #39.
